Before we start
The same rules apply to every shower we work on. Pass this list to your contractor.
- The drain is set and flushed.
- Blocking is installed around the walls, typically 2x10 or 2x12.
- The curb (also called the dam or threshold) is in place: a minimum of two 2x4s, and three is recommended.
- The shower floor is solid. If it moves or feels like it could give way underfoot, we cannot mop it. Hot mop is heavy.
- The correct shower drain is installed.
- Demolition is finished. We do not demo.
What we do not do
- Demolition. It is normally done before we are called.
- Tile work. Your tile setter sets the tile over our work.

Yes. CSLB License #1092967 · C-61/D-12. We carry general liability insurance and workers’ comp.
Do you do demolition or tile?
No. Demolition is normally done before we are called, and we do no tile work. We work with tile setters, and they set the tile over our pan.
